Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a 6-month contract employment opportunity for a Guest Services Representative in Palo Alto, California. Working in the healthcare industry, you will serve as a non-clinical liaison, providing exceptional customer service to patients, their families, and visitors while ensuring adherence to safety and quality programs. The schedule is Tuesdays through Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm and Saturday from 2 pm to 10:30 pm.Responsibilities: Serve as a non-clinical liaison to assist patients before, during, and after their visits. Greet and guide patients, families, and visitors throughout the hospital and clinics. Schedule and manage appointments while providing clear instructions and directions. Respond to patient concerns, escalating issues as necessary. Assist with transportation information, including hospital shuttles and local services. Support patient experience initiatives by offering emotional support and practical assistance. Communicate patient and guest needs to appropriate departments. Facilitate wayfinding, concierge services, and delivery of guest amenities. Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality in all interactions. Manage site-specific navigation needs in areas like emergency departments and surgical units.Job RequirementsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent.Experience:2 years in customer service (hospitality, public relations, banking, concierge services, etc.) OR1 year in a healthcare setting (hospital, clinic, medical office, etc.), ORCompletion of a navigation certification programTechnical Skills:Basic PC skills (Windows, Excel, Word).Experience with EPIC or other patient database systems preferred.Other Requirements:Must be able to adjust communication styles to fit diverse needs.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Knowledge of local geography and hospital services is a plus.
