Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStarting at $22.49/hr. The compensation for this position will be determined by the candidate's level of experience. All applicants are encouraged to provide details of their previous professional experiences during the application process.Monday-Thursday 10 hour shifts, possibility of overtime on FridaysEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for applying primer and topcoat to commercial trailers (steel and aluminum) using spray gun equipment and techniques. Painters must follow high quality standards to minimize defects and exceed customer standardsCleans grease and dirt from productApplies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coatedFills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surfaceSelects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solventRemoves rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool Prepare surface using metal, wood, or plastic part to sand or ground surfaceUse spray guns to coat metalFill the machine's tanks with a mixture of paints or chemicals, adding prescribed amounts of solutionAdjust nozzles on the spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the sprayCheck product for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections Regulate the temperature and air circulation in drying ovensPosition automatic spray guns, set nozzles, and synchronize action of guns with speed of conveyor carrying articles; apply touch-upsHandle/store and dispose of hazardous waste according to city, state and federal lawsFrequently climbs, walks, stoops and kneels; works inside/outside in cool and hot weather conditions; lift/carry no more than 50lbsRequirementsRequired Experience/Qualifications of Spray Painters:Safety ConsciousSelf MotivatedAttentive to DetailGood Attendance Record Spray Painting Experience / Automotive setting Must be able to work overtime when necessaryRequired Experience/Skills:Able to Read BlueprintsExperience with High Volume Low Pressure Paint Systems1yr Experience Spray Painting on a Large Scale Similar to Trailers/Boats/Etc1yr Experience Painting in a Production EnvironmentBenefitsJoin the Manac Team 7th largest trailer manufacturer in North AmericaManac provides competitive wages, opportunities for advancement, affordable insurance including medical, dental, and vision starting at just 60 days, and a 401k plan which the company contributes to after a year of service.
