Check out our website to learn more about us!Position SummaryThe Family Support Associate (Bilingual) plays a key role in Room to Grows mission by guiding families through the "2nd Hour" of their program visita dedicated time when parents and caregivers select essential baby and toddler items to take home.In the Baby Boutique, a welcoming and thoughtfully designed space, families choose from a variety of high-quality, donated items, including clothing, toys, books, and equipment. Your role is to ensure this experience is smooth, informative, and dignified by assisting caregivers, answering their questions, and helping them find items that best support their childs development and their personal approach to parenting.Beyond working directly with families, you will collaborate with our Inventory Operations team to ensure a well-organized, accessible, and replenished Baby Boutique. This role is perfect for someone who is resourceful, energetic, organized, and passionate about working with families and young children.This position reports to the Coordinator, 2nd Hour Family Support. It is a full-time, in-person position based primarily out of our family centers in South End and Dorchester, with occasional travel to our warehouse in Hyde Park. The current schedule is 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Monday and Friday; and 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. Hours may fluctuate based on the needs of the baby boutique, and the schedule could shift depending on daily requirements. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.Position ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Family Support & Boutique ExperienceFacilitate parents and caregivers through the Baby Boutique, ensuring they can easily find items that meet their needs.Encourage and empower caregivers by supporting their choices in selecting books, toys, clothing, and equipment suited for their child.Answer parents questions, affirm their strengths, and create a welcoming, respectful, and dignified shopping experience.Maintain a well-organized and inviting Baby Boutique that reflects Room to Grows values of warmth, dignity, and comfort.Ensure a safe, child-friendly environment that encourages parent-child interactions, such as exploring books and introducing new toys.Inventory Coordination & OperationsCommunicate regularly with the other regional teams to ensure inventory needs are met across all Family Centers.As needed, prepare personalized "bundles" of baby and toddler items for families attending virtual visits (in the place of families shopping themselves). Thoughtfully select developmentally appropriate items based on Room to Grows distribution guides and families documented preferences in Salesforce.Pack items thoughtfully to ensure that the items are well-organized and secure for families to bring home from the Family Center.Restock and organize inventory in the Baby Boutique, ensuring families have access to essential items.Maintain organization of the overstock/volunteer space to ensure a smooth inventory flow.Collaboration & Administrative SupportPartner with other Family Support practitioners to provide coordinated support for families.Work closely with team members to coordinate bundle logistics and communicate updates.Debrief and share insights from family visits to strengthen practice skills and align with Room to Grows practice support structuresMaintain accurate records in Salesforce, ensuring family visit data is documented and up to date.Assist in answering and directing incoming phone calls to support family inquiries and engagement.Support regional projects, including special events and social media collaborations as neededParticipate in volunteer engagement sessions, fostering relationships and encouraging ongoing support as neededQualifications and ExperienceA passion for the mission, vision, and core values of Room to GrowEnergetic and hospitable with strong customer service skillsOrganized with high attention to detailStrong communication skills and comfortable with external engagementHigh level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and judgmentHighly resourceful, adaptable/agile, and ability to multitaskMust be a team player and also be able to work individually and take initiativeInterested in exploring child development topics and engaging with baby itemsAdept at using technology and documenting information in an electronic systemExperience working directly with young children and families strongly preferredAble to lift 40 poundsNo diploma or certification requiredFluency in Spanish and English is requiredThis role is primarily in-person in Boston, MACompensation and BenefitsRoom to Grow offers a collaborative work environment, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:8+ weeks of paid time off per yearMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Health FSA, Dependent Care FSA403(b) retirement savings with matching programQuarterly wellness reimbursement up to $150 per quarterSo much more!Salary and benefits will be competitive for our field and commensurate with experience.
