Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Controller to join our team based in Westbrook, Maine. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the financial operations, maintaining the accuracy of financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a crucial role for supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage general ledger activities Implement effective financial controls to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making Handle accounts payable and receivables with accuracy Conduct sales tax reporting in a timely manner Manage budgets and ensure they align with the financial planning of the organization Handle month and year-end closings diligently Oversee treasury functions and budget processes Maintain the integrity of our financial reporting Conduct Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) Extensive experience in Budget Processes is required. Proficiency in Treasury management is essential. Must have prior experience with Month End Close procedures. Familiarity with Year End Closings is a must. Understanding of Internal Control systems. Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) is highly desirable. Lastly, must have a bachelor's in accounting, finance, or economics
