Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionOur client has an immediate position available for a Security/Fire Alarm technician to join our branch operations in our Hudson, (Syracuse) NY office.Candidate duties will include installing, servicing and inspecting Security, Access control, IP Video and Fire Systems. Technicians will service, maintain, install and test these systems working both independently, and as part of a team. Candidate will work primarily on commercial accounts and will also be part of our on-call rotation. Experience in Lenel access control, Bosch Security or FCI fire alarm panels is a plus.Ability to work with hand tools and power toolsMust be able to lift up to 30lbs of weight, carry tools, laddersMust be comfortable working on laddersOSHA 10 certification (we can assist in providing this training if hired)Candidates may be subject to drug test and background checkPositive attitudeRepresent yourself and the company in a professional manner to our clients at all timesEffective Troubleshooting skillsEffective communication skillsExperience in installing and servicing Security Alarm systems, including CCTV, Access control, Fire alarmProficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and understanding schematics for system design and installationKnowledge of low voltage systems and computer hardware related to security systemsFamiliarity with alarm system sales and service technician experienceAbility to work with computer networking and read blueprints for system installationsCompany vehicle for transportation to and from jobsites or office will be providedSkillsCCTV, intrusion detection system, fire alarm, Install, Audiovisual, Low voltage, Video, Security, Cat6, Cat5, Troubleshooting, access controlTop Skills DetailsCCTV,intrusion detection system,fire alarmAdditional Skills & QualificationsQualifications: Experience in installing and servicing Security Alarm systems, including CCTV, Access control, Fire alarm Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and understanding schematics for system design and installation Knowledge of low voltage systems and computer hardware related to security systems Familiarity with alarm system sales and service technician experience Ability to work with computer networking and read blueprints for system installations Background in construction, telecommunication, and locksmithing is a plus Understanding of NEC codes and regulations related to security alarm systems is a plusExperience LevelIntermediate Level
