Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNSC has immediate openings for Aluminum Welder in Slidell, LA. Aluminum Welder must have the ability to understand directions and follow instructions. Technically proficient in tasks, work processes, and equipment operation. Accountable for completion of daily work assignments, completion of work signatures, and QA signatures for completeness and quality of work.Aluminum Welder Job Requirement:Safely operate equipment to meet production requirements.Perform MIG welds on aluminum, according to company standardsTIG welding skill is a plus.Perform vertical and horizontal fillet MIG welds, with a high degree of quality and little supervisionUnderstand and know how to use personal protective equipment (PPE) for all work areas and material.Accurately and in a timely manner to produce materials to specifications under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and follow established procedures and approved processes.Experience in pulse-on-pulse MIG machine is a plus.Comply with all equipment operations & procedures.Other duties as assignedJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High School Diploma and/ or GED equivalency.2-5 years TIG experience is a plus.Must be able to read and interpret drawings.Able to read tape measure and perform simple math such as adding and subtracting fractions, decimals, and whole numbersAble to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to work in a team or independentlyMust be able to read and speak English.Knowledge of shipyard safety practices, vessel terminology and use of scissor and boom lifts.FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION CONTACT A RECRUITER AT: Recruiting.WA@At ULG our company culture is strong!
