Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role:The Senior Accountant at Division Construction Supply Inc. will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The Senior Accountant will also work hand and hand with the CFO to support decision-making. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior accounting staff and fostering a collaborative team environment. Ultimately, the Senior Accountant will contribute to the overall financial strategy and operational efficiency of the company.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.Proficiency in accounting softwares and Microsoft Excel, pivot tables and v-lookups.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the construction industry, supply and warehouse industries.Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development.Skills:The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities, which are essential for preparing and interpreting financial reports accurately. Proficiency in accounting software is utilized daily to manage financial data and streamline processes. Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members and presenting financial insights to management. Leadership skills are important for mentoring junior staff and fostering a positive team environment. Additionally, attention to detail is critical in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and identifying discrepancies in financial records.
