Manufacturing Accounting Analyst

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Purpose:The Manufacturing Accounting Analyst will support the accounting department with various tasks related to daily accounting functions, including costing analysis, reconciliation, and payment processing. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely reporting while maintaining efficient communication with vendors and internal teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Costing Analysis: Complete costing analysis for daily production to ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing costs.Month-End Reports: Prepare and complete Month-End reports in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Invoice Processing: Perform 3-way matching verification for invoice payments, ensuring that invoices align with purchase orders and receipts.Invoice Review: Review and sort invoices and check requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Payment Setup: Set up invoices for approval and payment processes, ensuring proper approval workflows.Reconciliation: Perform payment reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in accounts.Account Analysis: Prepare and analyze accounts, ensuring that balances are accurate and up to date.Account Monitoring: Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current and resolve any outstanding discrepancies.Vendor Communication: Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors to respond to inquiries and resolve issues.Standardization of Reports: Facilitate the standardization of all Distribution Center (DC) operational reports to align with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Collaboration: Consult and collaborate with the Manufacturing Accounting Manager, Kitchen General Manager, Cheese General Manager, and Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth operations and reporting.Qualifications:SAP Experience: Experience with SAP accounting systems is preferred.MRP Manufacturing System Experience: Knowledge of MRP manufacturing systems is beneficial.Accounts Payable Knowledge: Understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.General Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with general accounting practices and procedures.Data Entry Proficiency: Strong data entry and data management skills.Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.DC Operations Knowledge: Understanding of Distribution Center operations is helpful.Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.Teamwork: Strong teamwork abilities, willing to collaborate across departments.Deadline Management: Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy.Communication Skills: Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) for effective communication with vendors and internal teams.Education and/or Experience:Some college education preferred.Computer Skills:Strong proficiency in Excel (spreadsheets).Reasoning Ability:Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
